ANTI-COMMUNISM AND GENERAL RACISM
Racism was abundant during Hitler's reign, but it was not only Jews that were affected. Communists were targeted, as Communism was seen as a Jewish invention that would destroy Germany. Hitler despised Russia, which was a Communist nation, even though he later allied himself with USSR. He felt so threatened by the Communist party that one of his first rulings was to ban them from Germany.
As well as Communists, there were other minorities that were targeted by Hitler's hatred. These included the Gypsies, homosexuals, and drunks. For more information on these see here. |
