ANTI-SEMITISM
This was one of the main values of Nazi Germany. Anti-Semitism is defined hostility or prejudice towards Jews. Hitler's hatred for the Jewish race began in his youth, and grew as he did. He believed that Jews were purely evil; vermin that should not be given the rights of a human. Hitler blamed the Jews for the misfortunes of Germany, and believed that the loss of WWI, the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, The Great Depression and hyperinflation were all Jewish attempts to destroy Germany.
'the personification of the devil as the symbol of all evil assumes the living shape of the Jew' When he was elected as Chancellor in 1933, Hitler used his power to convince the German people of his views. Jews became subhuman, 'Untermenschen', and were given no rights. Eventually, the Nuremberg Law [for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor] was put in place so that no pure German person could interact with a Jew. Any marriages between German-blooded people and Jews were annulled, and sexual relations between the two races were forbidden.
